Nanakorobi yaoki. No Matter How Many Times We Fall, We Rise Again

Fall down seven times, get up eight. Hi, pleased to meet you, my name is Edi and welcome to my tiny little corner of the internet, where I’ll be sharing my journey, the highs, the lows and everything in between. This is a space for anyone willing to explore life through the lens of resilience, travel and growth. Thank you for joining me on this little adventure we call life.

A little introduction I think is probably needed. My nickname, Edi Lume, is a reflection of who I am – someone who is learning to shine through life’s challenges. The word ‘Lume’ comes from Latin for light, and this blog is a way of finding and sharing that light, no matter how small it may be – cliche, I know, but why not?

I will be talking about my experiences with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), and the journey that it has brought me on, the good, the bad, the messy and the one that has me questioning myself. When I received my diagnosis after years of whittling it down, I didn’t know what to do, I felt at a loss, vulnerable to be more accurate. Though over the years I have started to put myself back together again as I heal and learn to accept who I am.

Welcome to my journey – one that is filled with adventures and challenges. In this space, I will share stories of the places I explore, the lessons I have learnt, and the personal growth I experience. I cannot wait to have you along for the ride!
